Do I need a car?

Yes, there is no public transport near here.

Can I arrive before 4pm?

Absolutey by prior arrangement.  Call on +64 7 3322366 or email with your request.

Are families welcome?

Yes we welcome well behaved children.  All ages are welcome.  We have a baby cot, highchair and rollaway beds available for children not occupying existing bedding.    Infants under 2 are free.

Can I smell the sulphur at Clover Downs?

No we are far enough away from the geothermal areas not to be affected.

What is your cancellation policy?

If cancelled outside 30 days 100% refund

If cancelled outside 14 days 50% refund

If cancelled within 14 days nil refund

Will you require a deposit?

A 10% deposit will be taken when you book online.   The balance can be paid by Mastercard, Visa or cash on arrival.  When booking within 30 days, the full amount will be taken online.

Can I cook at Clover Downs?

The kitchen is shared with the owner.  However, access may be possible with prior arrangement.  Ask if you would like to use it.  The suites all have crockery, cutlery and fridges so your own food can be bought for consumption in your room.

Can I interact with the animals?

Yes of course.  We have friendly sheep, goats, chickens, dog and cat.  The deer and cows are not tame so you won’t be able to touch them.  We can arrange to feed the animals and collect the fresh eggs each morning.

Can you tell me what do in Rotorua?

Absolutely, we have visitor information, maps and ideas.  Ruth will spend some time with you on arrival to determine your interests and even book activities if you wish.  Check out the Rotorua page for some ideas.

Do you charge a credit card surcharge fee?

Not for accommodation transactions.  If you require cash withdrawals or activity bookings that have a surcharge then these will need to be passed on.
